Upgrading the Ivanti database
If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Service Desk or Asset Manager, you need to upgrade the metadata in your database.
Back up your database before upgrading it.
When you are upgrading the database, you need to select a Service Desk Framework that has the Logon policy set to Explicit only on its Edit Application dialog.
To upgrade an existing database:
- In the Ivanti Configuration Center, open the required instance.
- In the Configured Applications group, alongside Service Desk Framework, click Upgrade.
The Upgrade Details dialog appears. - Click Upgrade.
The upgrade starts.
This may take some time. If your system times out, see Dealing with timeout. A conversion succeeded message appears.
If you experience problems while upgrading your database, click View Log to view the log file created by the upgrade.
- When the upgrade finishes, click Close.
